Ad Blue Technical For Commercial Vehicles Emission –

Ad Blue Technical For Commercial Vehicles Emission –

Ad Blue is known as DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) and this mixture is used in heavy-duty diesel engines that are made after January 2010. Most of the car diesel engine and commercial vehicle engines are made after September 2015. Ad Blue cannot be called as a fuel additive. It is added to the exhaust gas after the combustion has taken place. One of the benefits of Ad blue technical for commercial vehicles is that it reduces (NO x) emissions i.e. Nitrogen Oxide emission. Nitrogen oxide can cause respiratory illness. Due to this reason, there are some limitations that have been put up by the Govt. regarding the vehicles with NOx and it can be reduced by the use of Ad blue technical. It purifies the air quality and lessens the dangers associated with death & illnesses.

Ad Blue -

Ad Blue is made of urea and deionised water. Urea contains ammonia which is a active ingredient in Ad Blue. It reacts with NOx and neutralizes it effects before it spreads in the air.

Apart from all of these Ad Blue and SCR technology has become very common in passenger vehicle, SUVs, camper vans, pickups, and cars. Ad Blue can clean up the exhaust gas of these vehicles. So, before the gas spreads in the air, the Ad blue will automatically clean it. There has been an improvement in the vehicle technology because of the pressure from the Govt. to reduce the emissions in the air. And, it comprises of SCR system i.e. selective catalytic reduction system in the truck, van, car and engine, that use the DEF i.e. diesel exhaust fluid like Ad Blue to stop the harmful gases being released in the air.

There is a need of Ad Blue for all the commercial vehicles that are equipped with SCR technology i.e. selective catalytic reduction technology to be in consonance with the emission standards. And this all applies to the following vehicles –

  • Light goods vehicle and commercial vehicles with SCR like trucks, refuse trucks, and fire engines.
  • Medium goods vehicles like vans
  • Vehicles like buses, school buses, min buses and other passenger vehicles are also included.

Apart from all of these types of vehicles, there are also cars that needs ad blue. Some of the cars that meet Euro 6 standards also need ad blue which are mostly the cars that are used in Europe. The novice Euro 6 diesel cars need ad blue that are pre-filled with it. When you take your car to the garage it will happen that while doing the servicing the technicians will check whether it is topped up or not. But, if you want you can refill with ad blue when it is needed. You can ask your garage technician to refill it. In addition, at the car dealer and the retail station you can ask for refilling of it.

In addition, it is used to produce a clean emission from the vehicles. Apart from that there are users whose knowledge about ad blue is weak. So, people need to broaden their horizons on the subject and know about ad blue and its helpful uses, especially for clean emission. There are several environment benefits of ad blue, as ad blue helps greatly in reducing the NOx (nitrogen oxide). NOx emissions are very harmful to the environment.

The Quantity of Ad Blue Required -

Apart from all of these, ad blue also meets the strict limits of emission, which is set by the European standard (Euro 6). Many people are there who will have this common question like – how much ad blue fluid is needed-? During the maintenance, the tanks are filled with ad blue every 6 months. Besides that the rate at which the vehicles use ad blue differs. It mainly depends on vehicles and how economically those cars are used like engine size, average mileage etc. The normal consumption of ad blue is 1 liter per 1000km. For some vehicle, the normal consumption can reach 1 liter per 550 km.

Refilling Ad Blue -

Compared with the standard driver, the fleet drivers need to know more about ad blue and have a better understanding. Plus, there is no need for the drivers to panic or worry about their ad blue finishing because there is warning light in the dashboard that will flash when the time comes to fill the vehicle with ad blue.
