Ad Blue is known as DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) and this mixture is used in heavy-duty diesel engines that are made after January 2010. Most of the car diesel engine and commercial vehicle engines are made after September 2015. Ad Blue cannot be called as a fuel additive. It is added to the exhaust gas after the combustion has taken place. One of the benefits of Ad blue technical for commercial vehicles is that it reduces (NO x) emissions i.e. Nitrogen Oxide emission. Nitrogen oxide can cause respiratory illness. Due to this reason, there are some limitations that have been put up by the Govt. regarding the vehicles with NOx and it can be reduced by the use of Ad blue technical. It purifies the air quality and lessens the dangers associated with death & illnesses.
Ad Blue -
Ad Blue is made of urea and deionised water. Urea contains ammonia which is a active ingredient in Ad Blue. It reacts with NOx and neutralizes it effects before it spreads in the air.
Apart from all of these Ad Blue and SCR technology has become very common in passenger vehicle, SUVs, camper vans, pickups, and cars. Ad Blue can clean up the exhaust gas of these vehicles. Apart from all of these types of vehicles, there are also cars that needs ad blue. Some of the cars that meet Euro 6 standards also need ad blue which are mostly the cars that are used in Europe. The novice Euro 6 diesel cars need ad blue that are pre-filled with it. When you take your car to the garage it will happen that while doing the servicing the technicians will check whether it is topped up or not. But, if you want you can refill with ad blue when it is needed. You can ask your garage technician to refill it. In addition, at the car dealer and the retail station you can ask for refilling of it.

Plus, make sure that you top up your vehicle with ad blue in the right tank and not the wrong ones.

The Quantity of Ad Blue Required -

For some vehicle, the normal consumption can reach 1 liter per 550 km.
Refilling Ad Blue -
Compared with the standard driver, the fleet drivers need to know more about ad blue and have a better understanding. Plus, there is no need for the drivers to panic or worry about their ad blue finishing because there is warning light in the dashboard that will flash when the time comes to fill the vehicle with ad blue. Plus, the level of ad blue is also monitored by the same, so there is no need for the fleet drivers or standard drivers to worry. How to Refill the ad blue in your vehicle – It is suggested to the drivers that they do not try by themselves to refill the ad blue. They may not be able to do the same. Therefore, you can choose to take the help of a technician to refill the ad blue.
If you choose to refill the ad blue all yourself, then make sure that you do not allow the ad blue to come in contact with your skin directly. Plus, make sure that you avoid any kind of spills because it can damage the paint of the car. Even if you have spilled it, then wash the area with water and clean it. The same applies if you have spilled it over the clothes. You can also set an alarm that is available to give you a sign, when ad-blue is low.
